A Leader worth “Minting”
A fairly common tradition around the world is to place the faces of your countries most influential and loved leaders. This is a way of celebrating the past and paying tribute to those who got their country to where they stand.
The United States Mint is no different- all of our currency bares the face of an influential leader – from George Washington (1 Dollar) to Woodrow Wilson (100,000 Dollars) and from Abraham Lincoln (1 cent) to Lady Liberty ($20 well she doesn’t really count because she did not exist – but the coin was sold for 7.6 million bucks on ebay in 2002).
